The following quote has been extracted from page 13:

"The Wensleydale branch closed in March 1959, leaving in regular use only 10 of the original 40 levers in the Garsdale signal box".

On pages 28-29 there is a poor quality undated B&W photograph (with a BR era poster visible) that shows Garsdale Signal Box in need of a coat of paint, possibly more.

On page 35 there is another poor quality undated B&W photograph that also shows Garsdale Signal Box in need of a coat of paint.

Pages 35 - 37 recount the story of two railway accidents linked to Garsdale Signal Box:

  • Ais Gill Moor / Lunds on 24th December 1910 (illustrated by one poor quality B&W photograph of the crash-scene), and
     
  • Aisgill Summit on 2nd September 1913 also (illustrated by one poor quality B&W photograph of the crash-scene).
