Church Service on Garsdale Station

A church service has been arranged with the Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line and the Friend of Hawes Junction Chapel to be held on Sunday 30th May 2010.
The service starts at 11am which connects with trains from Leeds and Carlisle.  The event ends in time for return trains mid afternoon to Leeds and Carlisle.
Hawes Silver Band will be playing from 10.30-11am.
The service begins at 11am and is conducted by Canon Bill Greetham one of our On Train Guides.
During the service Gunnerside Choir from Swaledale will be singing four pieces of music.   The congregation will be asked to join in the hymns and prayers.
After the service people are invited to a free buffet at Hawes Chapel (donations would be grateful at the door).
At approximately 1.30pm Bill Mitchell well known Dales Writer will be giving a talk on Mallerstang or should you wish to go on a short guided walk, one of the Friends Leaders will be doing this and finishing at the station.
