A visit to Hadrian's Wall Amended

A short walk along one of the best preserved sections of the Roman wall. Birdoswald - Willowford Bridge - Thirlwall Castle.

This walk will probably return in time to catch the 18.18 train to Leeds (not the 16.18).

Special Instructions:

Alight (11.34) and return Carlisle. Meet leader in waiting area, platform 6, Carlisle Station. Service bus from Carlisle to Birdoswald and return from Greenhead in time for 18.18 train to Leeds..
