Little Red Bus company seeks administration

BUS CHANGES AFTER LITTLE RED BUS CEASES OPERATIONS

The news that Little Red Bus has gone into Voluntary Administration has sparked a wave of activity at North Yorkshire County Council to secure replacement operators for most services in the Dales. Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire are now operating the 581 service between Settle, Austwick, Clapham, Ingleton and Kirkby Lonsdale to a slightly revised timetable with the last journeys now being 1655 from Kirkby Lonsdale and 1740 from Settle Monday to Saturday. The Sunday DalesBus 881service operated by Jacksons and Arriva  between Ingleton and Settle continues unaltered.

The weekday and Saturday services between Skipton and Malham will be operated by North Yorkshire’s Fleet Services to the existing timetables but the Saturday X59 between Harrogate and Skipton is now withdrawn as this was a commercial Little Red Bus service. The Wednesday Dales Experience bus from Bradford to Malham via Skipton continues as do the Pennine Monday to Friday services and the Sunday DalesBus services from Skipton to Malham.
