The Transport Secretary delegated the task of replying to Travel Watch North West to one of his Rail ministers. The response was unsatisfactory, showing little understanding of the needs of WCML passengers and repeating what we'd heard ages ago from Virgin Trains.
FoSCL's experts have commented in detail with plenty of ammunition with which to go back to the Minister. There is real anger building up with Government's refusal to budge on the subject of diverting Virgin trains over the Settle-Carlisle Line. In fact this is developing into a fully-fledged campaign by FoSCL on behalf of the West Coast Main Line passengers. It's surprising that they haven't formed their own User Group - or maybe they have and we're just not aware of it!
