Guided Walks Test

Our first walk to welcome in 2025 is from Long Preston visiting the trig point on the top of Newton Moor then finishing at Hellifield.

Let's get into the Christmas mood - bring Santa hats and nibbles to share! We'll round off the day with refreshments in Settle.

A shorter, slower paced scenic walk in the environs of Horton-in-Ribblesdale with plenty of time to admire the views.

A walk from Hellifield through pretty villages and over rolling hills, following the River Aire and Leeds Liverpool canal to Skipton.

A trip through history to where the Bronte Sisters lived and walked.

Bus from Keighley to Haworth:

Walk from Keighley Railway Station to Keighley Bus Station (allow 15 minutes) for 10:05 B3 Hebden Bridge Bus alighting at Sun Street, Haworth.

On this riverside walk we are unlikely to see Ursus Arctos but we might see his favourite food Salmo Salar leaping Stainforth Force!

We take the Northern DalesBus to Hawes (return fare payable)  and walk to Semerwater, a place of myths and legends!

BUS: This walk makes use of the Northern DalesBus to Hawes. The bus fare is payable.

Travel on the new Yorkshire Dales Explorer train service to the beautiful Ribble Valley.

Route: Ramsgreave, Wilpshire Moor Top, Little Snodworth, Dean Clough Reservoir, Nab Wood, Whalley

Note: We strongly recommend making return connections at Settle rather than Hellifield due to additional facilities and railway staff being on hand should problems arise.

Train arrives 17:10 for Leeds 17:58 and Carlisle 17:49.

A walk from Ribblehead to Whernside along the ridge. Superb views across to Morecambe Bay...if we're lucky!
