Something for everyone .
The team provides a wide range of walks talks and exhibits along with an outdoor theatre production at several events. We aim to provide something for everyone. Please get in touch if you’re planning a visit that may need additional support.
We have two more events this season
Wednesday 27th August
Shanty site, viaduct 4 miles followed by outdoor theatre with a new ‘Mischief in the Navvy Hut’. Limited parking nearby.
Wednesday 10th September
The lost village of Thorns with a walk over the shanty tramways. 6 miles.
Photo is from our 8mile Navvy walk on the 13th August featuring Brian the guide dog who also made it to the lunchtime theatre ‘Mysteries in the Graveyard’ by the Settle Graveyard Project. If our walk is too far for you, visit the iconic viaduct with us and hear about its history or join us for the exhibition and talk before coffee and cake in the cafe.
Next year, to mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the line to passengers, will have a more varied and extended programme of heritage walks planned in other locations along the line.
