We have received an update from Network Rail on planned infrastructure work at two stations on the S&C..
In addition to the work at Garsdale the car park at Armathwaite will be slightly extended and resurfaced. Extra lighting will be installed, heritage lamps of course. Two further lighting columns are on order, these will be installed either side of the toilet block at Garsdale. Work is scheduled for early October, although something was going on at Garsdale last Thursday, 19th August.
Cost of Garsdale and Armathwaite approx. £300k.
