From 14th September we have 6 trains each way on weekdays including reinstated early morning through trains. Compared with the pre-COVID timetable we are still lacking the 1518 and 1818 departures from Leeds. To cater for the schoolchildren returning to Settle in the afternoon, an extra bus service has been put on leaving Skipton at 1600, arriving Settle at 1635 and Ribblehead at 1700.
At the northern end of the line we are still lacking the 1340 and 1824 departures on weekdays. To cater for commuters the 1745 bus from Carlisle to Kirkby Stephen has been retained in the new timetable.
The Sunday timetable still has only 4 trains in each direction. The 1607 southbound is an 'express' and doesn't call at many of the smaller stations, but Northern have listened to FoSCL's plea and have inserted stops at Ribblehead and Horton-in- Ribblesdale.
