12 July 2025 - Ribble Valley Line: Langho to Whalley
Travel on the Yorkshire Dales Explorer train service to the beautiful Ribble Valley. Important: see our website for train info.
Route: Langho, Cravens, Rivers Ribble and Hodder, Great Mitton, Whalley
Distance: 9.5mi / 15.3km
Connecting train times:
10:18 Leeds to Morecambe - Alight Hellifield at 11:11
09:27 Carlisle to Leeds – Alight Hellifield at 11:13
Board Rochdale Service - Depart 11:30
Note: We strongly recommend making return connections at Settle rather than Hellifield due to additional facilities and railway staff being on hand should problems arise.
Train arrives 17:10 for Leeds 17:58 and Carlisle 17:49.

13 July 2025 - Great Pinseat: Healaugh to Gunnerside
The desolate summit of Great Pinseat provides amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
Route: Healaugh, Barney Beck, Surrender Bridge, Great Pinseat, Gunnerside
Distance: 8m/12.9km
BUS: This walk makes use of the Northern Dalesman Bus to Healaugh. Bus return from Gunnerside. The bus fare is payable.
19 July 2025 - Appleby to Langwathby
A walk through the Eden Valley with views of the Lake District and North Pennines.
Route: Appleby, Long Marton, Kirkby Thore, Temple Sowerby, Acorn Banks, Culgaith, Langwathby

26 July 2025 - Wild Boar Fell: the Fourth Peak?
A remote hike to one of the highest peaks in the northern Yorkshire Dales. An exhilarating walk with great views of the Howgills.
Route: Kirkby Stephen Station, Little Fell, The Nab, Wild Boar Fell, Swarth Fell Pike, Grisedale and Garsdale Station

26 July 2025 - Ribblehead to Horton
Ribblehead - Our second walk starts at Ribblehead with its famous viaduct before journeying to Thorns, a long deserted hamlet, and finishes at Horton.

02 August 2025 - Ribblehead Circular
A circular walk with impressive views of the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct so plenty of photo opportunities!

09 August 2025 - Flowerpot Frenzy with Bill and Ben
Splendid views of the Ribble Valley on this leisurely paced walk and a chance to enjoy the Settle Flowerpot Festival.

10 August 2025 - Dodd Fell: Hawes to Ribblehead
Take the Pennine Way and Cam High Road towards Ribblehead taking in Dodd Fell.

16 August 2025 - Mallerstang Edge
This has to be one of the wildest and most breathtaking walks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Definitely one of our favourites!
