Rock cairns have stood atop Nine Standards Rigg since the 13th century and no-one really knows why...

15 August 2026 - In Search of the Straw Man
Splendid views of the Ribble Valley on this leisurely paced walk and at the end a chance to explore Settle flowerpot trail.

16 August 2026 - Gunnerside to Muker
Rugged moorland and industrial archaeology on this lovely walk in Swaledale.

23 August 2026 -Great Shunner Fell
Walk the glorious Pennine Way from Swaledale to Wensleydale.

29 August 2026 -Carlisle Circular along the River Eden
An opportunity to walk along the river Eden and see some of the beautiful architecture in historic Carlisle.
Route: Carlisle Station, Carlisle Castle, Hadrian's Wall Path, Stainton, Etterby, Cricket Ground, Carlisle Cathedral, Carlisle Station.

05 September 2026 -We Talk to the Trees
